DOUBLE HEADER WEEKEND TO KICK OFF 2020 SEASON

LOVES PARK, IL – It has been a long-awaited start to the 2020 Big 8 Series season opener and the month of July will begin with a bang. Rockford Speedway officials have just received word from local health that they will be able to operate at limited capacity.
This means the originally scheduled race on Saturday, July 4th will be able to go on as planned to kick off the 2020 Big 8 season. This will be a combined points event for the “Weekly Warriors” of the NASCAR Advanced Auto Parts Weekly Racing series and the Big 8 Late Model Series. Also in action will be the NASCAR Advanced Auto Parts Weekly Racing Series Sportsmen, Short Trackers, Bandits, and Road Runners.
Fans are encouraged to buy general admission tickets in advance to guarantee admission into the grandstands, tickets will be available in the coming days. Stay tuned to our website and social media platforms for additional information.
Fans are encouraged to wear masks as well as practice social distancing if you do not feel well please be responsible and stay home.
Spectator Gates open at 5PM, qualifying beings at 6PM with the first race at 7:07PM!
Immediately following the 2020 Season Opener, the “Best Weekly Warriors” of the Big 8 Late Model Series travel to Slinger Super Speedway to headline the "Prelude to the Nationals" on Sunday, July 5th.
The Big 8 Late Model Series is set to run a full program of preliminary races and a 88 lap feature and will be joined by the full complement of Slinger Speedway support classes.
