BIG 8 LATE MODELS ANNOUNCES EXCITING 2024 SCHEDULE

Rockford, Illinois, March 25, 2024 — The Big 8 Late Models series, the pinnacle of short track racing, is thrilled to announce its action-packed schedule for the 2024 season. Fans of high-speed competition and roaring engines can look forward to eight marquee events featuring the top weekly Late Model drivers from Northern Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.

The 2024 season will kick off with the 47th Annual Spring Classic at Grundy County Speedway in Morris, IL, on Saturday, April 20th. The series will then make its way through several iconic tracks, including Madison International Speedway and Hawkeye Downs Speedway, before culminating in the 55th Annual Oktoberfest Race Weekend at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway in West Salem, WI, on Saturday, October 5th.

Here’s a glimpse of the 2024 Big 8 Late Models schedule:

• April 20th: Spring Classic at Grundy County Speedway, Morris, IL
• May 24th: Late Model Special Event at Madison International Speedway, Oregon, WI
• June 7th: Clash at the Downs X at Hawkeye Downs Speedway, Cedar Rapids, IA
• July 5th: Fair Time Racing at Grundy County Speedway, Morris, IL
• July 26th: Larry Detjens Memorial at State Park Speedway, Wausau, WI
• August 2nd: Union 464 Night at Madison International Speedway, Oregon, WI
• September 14th: National Short Track Championships at Dells Raceway Park, Wisconsin Dells, WI
• October 5th: Oktoberfest Race Weekend at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway, West Salem, WI
