Gearing Up For 2025 With Expanded Bonuses & Nine Races

The 2025 Big 8 Late Model Series season is set to launch with an action-packed schedule, featuring nine races in three different states and a continued commitment to rewarding the drivers who define short track excellence.

This year's championship brings exciting updates on and off the track. The fast qualifier bonus has increased from $88 to $108 at each event, giving drivers extra incentive to lay down their best lap during time trials.

Once the racing begins, it pays to move to the front. The hard charger award returns this season to recognize the driver who gains the most positions during each race. The driver who accumulates the most positions across all races will receive this award. In 2024, Grant Brown (Prior Lake, MN) took this title by just one position.

Also continuing this year, the $800 Rookie of the Year Award to the rookie driver that finishes highest in the points standings. Last year's winner, Josh Lundy (Roscoe, IL), had a strong season, finishing 5th overall. This is a great chance for newer drivers to get experience at multiple tracks for a chance at extra cash. 

Don't forget the weekly warriors bonus that drivers can compete for at each event as well. Collect extra cash if you are a Big 8 Series/Track champion, got feature wins in the series or weekly tracks, or for being in the top 8 in weekly point standings. At the end of the year, the top eight in the points standings will share in a season points fund valued over $8000. We will be celebrating the hard work from the drivers with a mix of cash and parts certificates, meaning yet another incentive to join us in a full season adventure. 

Of course the fans who can't make it to every race won't have to worry either - every race will be broadcast live on TrackTV once again this season. With a subscription, not only do you get access to our races, but Midwest Tour and other series as well. 

With high stakes, expanded rewards, and a strong lineup of events, the 2025 Big 8 Late Model Series is shaping up to be one of the greatest seasons yet. Pull those belts tight; it's going to be a big year!
